One day each month, The Foster opens its doors early so family audiences have the galleries all to themselves. Our Family Fun Day programs guide young audiences through a selection of Tony Foster's wilderness works through stories, gallery explorations, and art making. This October, let your imagination run wild as we venture through the moody mists of Tony Foster's Wistman's Wood (2013). With Donald M. Silver and Patricia Wynne's One Small Square: Woods as our guide, we'll work together to unlock the secrets of the woods one page and puzzle at a time. Families will then have the chance to create their own artworks inspired by our gallery explorations and to play with our enchanted woods-inspired sensory station. All children attending must be accompanied by an adult. The ticket price of $5 per person includes coffee, juice, and pastries. Family Fun Day is a monthly event designed for children ages 4 and up, though all are welcome to attend.
