With his smart, catchy songs that run the gamut from rockabilly to Gen-X indie rock, Andy Z is one of our most popular Next Stage artists. Now he's coming back to our Zoom room, this time bringing along fellow kids' musician Twinkle Time!\ \ Young children have a harder time gathering safely these days, so we're planning a special 7 p.m. virtual "Bedtime Theater Show" just for them (and their caregivers, of course). Our small audience members will enjoy music, movement, stories, puppets, and lots of fun banter between our artists.\ \ Andy has been performing for kids and families for two decades. He's released eight albums and a wide range of songs, including The Rattlin' Bog, an upbeat version of the Irish classic; and the ‘90s-esque Race Car Drivin', which is the favorite of Next Stage host Rebecca Wallace (a proud Gen-X mama). Andy has also received many honors for his music, including the Disney iParenting Media Award.\ \ Twinkle grew up on stage and on TV, from being a series regular on the sitcom Sanchez of Bel-Air to touring nationally with Jesus Christ Superstar. She was also the lead singer of the pop girl band Nobody's Angel, opening for Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears. Now the award-winning Peruvian-American singer brings her Broadway belt and pop/rock/hip-hop sound and energy to her family music. The New York Times has described Twinkle Time as "like Lady Gaga for adults," and her fourth dual-immersion album A Mi Me Gusta Ser Yo / It's OK 2 Be Me just dropped Sept. 24.\ \ You can stream and download music by both of these awesome artists from anywhere! And their Next Stage performance is free on Zoom.
