AThe NASA Ames Research Center is located 15 minutes northwest of San Jose, right off Highway 101. To get to the Moffett Field research center, take the Moffett Blvd./NASA Pkwy. exit. Turn right at the stop light then proceed to the main gate. The guard will direct you to parking, badging or other destinations. Please show a driver's license upon entry.
APublic tours are not offered. A great alternative is the Exploration Center and Moffett Field Museum which features real military planes like U-2 and the VTOL Harrier cockpit, interactive space exhibits, NASA uniforms, photos and other memorabilia.
